Although it originated in a Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway musical,”My Favorite Things” has become a feel-good Christmassy song we’ll likely hear this holiday season. It’s also the title of a winter concert by Miami Beach-based singer Nicole Henry. This year marks the 11th annual holiday performance, a cherished tradition that has become a staple for the community.

Miami Dade College’s GEMS Festival Showcases Diverse Global Cinema

Miami, FL — The 11th Miami Film Festival GEMS is set to take place from October 30 to November 3, showcasing 30 films from over 15 countries. The event, a midseason highlight of the Miami Film Festival, will open with Pedro Almodóvar’s The Room Next Door and close with Jesse Eisenberg’s A Real Pain. Other notable screenings include three Centerpiece films: Emilia Pérez, Maria, and The Brutalist.
