Urban Film Festival Paves Way For Aspiring Filmmakers, World Premieres

The 10th Annual Urban Film Festival (UFF) brings three days of film screenings, master classes, and networking events to Miami, from August 29th to 31st. The festival, founded in 2015 by Florida Film House co-founder Marco (Mall) Molinet, was created to highlight urban storytelling after he found that Black filmmakers were underrepresented at traditional film festivals.

Miami Dade College’s GEMS Festival Showcases Diverse Global Cinema

Miami, FL — The 11th Miami Film Festival GEMS is set to take place from October 30 to November 3, showcasing 30 films from over 15 countries. The event, a midseason highlight of the Miami Film Festival, will open with Pedro Almodóvar’s The Room Next Door and close with Jesse Eisenberg’s A Real Pain. Other notable screenings include three Centerpiece films: Emilia Pérez, Maria, and The Brutalist.
